Dubbed "clean rap" by some, Pop-Rap is radio-friendly rap, characterized by melodic or rhythmic hooks, clean production and catchy delivery. Artists Will Smith, MC Hammer, and Young M.C., though scorned by many of their Hardcore peers in the rap scene, went on to score mega-hits with songs aimed at the youth market.
